01 / SCOPE
A travel snapshot,
not a border decision.
Passport Roam is designed for ordinary passport holders planning tourism and short visits. Each page connects a passport to destination access categories and basic stay information so travelers can discover options before they make a plan.
The current published dataset is a third-party snapshot from Passport Index. It is not an official government database, and it does not independently verify every policy with the relevant authority.

From source
to map.
Normalize the records
Country names, slugs, passport codes, destination IDs and access categories are converted into consistent page data.
Fail on broken data
Build checks verify passport counts, destination counts, unique identifiers, flags, generated JSON and sitemap URLs.
Generate static pages
The build produces passport pages, browser data, normalized flags, robots.txt and sitemap.xml for the static site.

Visa access can depend on passport type, travel purpose, stay length, onward travel, transit points, entry ports and personal circumstances. A category or color is a discovery signal, not a promise of admission.
The `Data update` date on a page is the date its data was generated or published. It does not mean every underlying policy changed on that date. Confirm current requirements with the relevant embassy, immigration authority or official government source before booking or travelling.
